RESIST by Michael Bunker, Book Review

Resist continues the tale of Leah, our rebellious sister in chains.  Her clandestine paper making is revealed to be only one small part of a rich underground network of people in the silo who write, inscribe, and distribute 'unapproved' literature.

As she is led on the journey she finds more questions than answers.  Who can she trust?  Where will this lead?

And it is an journey for the reader as well.  We are left with echoing words for us to ponder and consider.

"It is not laudatory or heroic, dear girl, to accomplish that duty the neglect of which would be criminal."

"The mind reels when it discovers that there are other minds and other lives out there....."

"We hate both being strangers, and being known."

“…a resolution to avoid an evil is seldom framed till the evil is so far advanced as to make avoidance impossible.” quoted from Far from the Madding Crowd, by Thomas Hardy

But we also find new friends to walk the journey with us.  Courage, curiosity, and hope alone can carry Leah and us through the darkness of the silo.

Available for only $.99 for Kindle!

Some other great books by Michael Bunker.
