Happy Tu B'Shevat!!!

To celebrate the Jewish New Year of the Trees, we planted some fig trees, an apple tree, a cherry tree and a lilac tree (not practical perhaps, but I LOVE lilacs).  I am also expecting to add to our orchard this year from a fellow freecycler who will be clearing out a very overgrown orchard that they inherited.  Last year I got about 30 or more plum trees, and this year they think they will get to the apples and pears!

For our region, this is the PERFECT time to plant fruiting and flowering trees and shrubs.  I am so eager for spring to come and see all those fresh green leaves.  I'm sure it will be beautiful.
