Quote du Jour - Larken Rose

“Make no mistake, when you cheer for the people of the American Revolution,
you are cheering for traitors and criminals.
They broke the law, because freedom is always illegal.”

I love it.  It's humorous in that, "You are SOOOOOOO gonna man up or die," kind of way.

Calling the Kettle Black?

Right now on forums and websites all over this country, gays are celebrating that they have been freed from the burden of the law. I want you to think about that.

I find it terribly interesting that this SCOTUS ruling has so many Christians saying that this is going to be the final straw, this is the judgment that is going to be the death knell for America. That disasters are forthcoming. I find it odd because they are so vicious towards homosexuals while giving themselves a pass on the many things they do to violate scriptures. Is gay sex between non-believers really more heinous than believers knowingly reenacting child sacrifice rituals in honor of God, or eating unclean flesh in church, or the adultery and fornication going on in the ministry? The problem isn't the world -- they are being the world -- EXPECT IT! The problem is us focusing on the world and giving ourselves a big, fat hypocritical pass. If you believe God's laws are good, then follow all of them that you can (not just the ones you think are reasonable) -- but don't expect the world to do it. And if you don't -- don't you dare preach to those who aren't -- the world has enough problems without more stumbling blocks being placed in their way. Love means not holding people to standards that they can easily identify as hypocritical -- thus poisoning their perception of the one true standard.

Many Will Come In My Name

Shared by Unlearn

Yeshua answered them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying I am the Messiah, and will lead many astray." (Matthew 24:4-5)

Many people come "in Jesus name" and claim that "Jesus is Messiah", yet they lead people astray.

Just because someone claims to be speaking in the name of Messiah, doesn't mean they are speaking truth. Beware of false teachers who come in Jesus' name, because they are the most dangerous deception.

***

This was another bible verse that I thought I knew SOOOOOO well.  And many quote it.

All this time we were taught that people would CLAIM TO BE the messiah.  But what if.... all along... it also meant that people would CLAIM JESUS WAS THE MESSIAH and then lead the people astray???

After all I can SAY Jesus is the Messiah, (just as the enemy knows and says) and still DO whatever I want.  Just another one of those word/thought/deed moments.

When Your Mother Says She's Fat

Absolutely beautiful... and heartbreaking. Every mother NEEDS to know this. ♥ to the mamas. We're in this together.

"With every grimace at your reflection in the mirror, every new wonder diet that was going to change your life, and every guilty spoon of ‘‘Oh-I-really-shouldn’t,’’ I learned that women must be thin to be valid and worthy. Girls must go without because their greatest contribution to the world is their physical beauty."

The Ten Commandments in the New Testament

"The following identifies the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament and every single one of them respectively confirmed in the New Testament, chapter and verse. NOT ONE THING HAS CHANGED! The truth may be hard to find, but it is most definitely available to those who will wholeheartedly seek it. Scripture does not deceive. Yahweh is not the Author of confusion.

The Law of Yahweh
Old Testament

I.
I Am Yahweh Thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other before Me. Deuteronomy 5:6-7

II.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, or in the water under the earth; Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them. For I, Yahweh thy Elohim am a jealous El, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of those that hate Me, but showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep my commandments. Deuteronomy 5:8-10

III.
Thou shall not take away the Name of Yahweh thy Elohim to bring it to nothing, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless that taketh away His Name to bring it to vain. Deuteronomy 5:11

IV.
Remember the Sabbath-day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahweh, thy Elohim. In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger within thy gates. For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath-day, and hallowed it. Deuteronomy 5:12-14

V.
Honor thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the land Yahweh gives thee. Deuteronomy 5:16

VI.
Thou shalt not commit murder. Deuteronomy 5:17

VII.
Thou shalt not commit adultery. Deuteronomy 5:18

VIII.
Thou shalt not steal. Deuteronomy 5:19

IX.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Deuteronomy 5:20

X.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s. Deuteronomy 5:21 Exodus 20:2-17 is also a second witness to the above.

Yahweh, shall establish thee as a holy people unto Himself, as He hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of Yahweh thy Elohim and walk in His ways. Deuteronomy 28:9

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Law of Yahweh
New Testament

I.
Thou shalt worship Yahweh thy Elohim, and Him only shalt thou serve. Mt 4:10

II.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. ~ For as we then are the offspring of Yahweh, we ought not to think that gold, or silver, or stone graven by art and man’s devices can be like the Most High. I John 5:21; Acts 17:29

III.
That the Name of Yahweh and His doctrine may not be blasphemed. ~ For whosoever shall call upon the Name of Yahweh shall be saved. ~ Simon Peter hath declared how Yahweh first proposed to take out from among the Nations, the people of His Name. ~ To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His Name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins. ~ There is no other Name (singular) under heaven by which we must be saved. I Tim 6:1; Rom 10:13 (See also Joel 2:32); Acts 15:14; Acts 10:43; Acts 4:12

IV.
. . . the Sabbath drew near . . . and they rested on the Sabbath Day according to the commandment. ~ Then Paul, as his custom was, went in unto them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures. ~ And on the Sabbath Day, we went . . . to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made. ~ And He said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is Master also of the Sabbath. ~ But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath Day. Luke 23:54-56; Acts 17:2; Acts 16:13; Mark 2:27,28; Matt 24:20

V.
Honor your father and your mother. Matt 19:19*

VI.
You shall not murder. Matt 19:18*

VII.
You shall not commit adultery. Matt 19:18*

VIII.
You shall not steal. Matt 19:18*

IX.
You shall not bear false witness. Matt 19:18** Matt 19:17-19

X.
You shall not covet. ** Rom. 13:9-10; Rom. 7:7
-------------------------------------------------------

If ye love Me, keep My commandments. ~ If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love. John 14:15; John 15:10

Do we then make void the Law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the Law. Rom. 3:31

He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Prov 28:9" -

Look For the Beauty

"I know about the bad things.  But I look for the Beautfy."
Alice Herz-Sommer

Who Can Save?

I wept as I read the article.  I closed the tab, walked away... but the image lingered.  Did the child cry for his mama?  Did he ask his attacker to stop?  Did he beg?  I recognize how destructive these thoughts are, and yet, they cannot be silenced.  How much did he suffer?

I wish I could do something.

Start a ministry.  Gather petition signatures.  Make a law.  Begin building a refuge for the unwanted and damaged children.....

I have had these thoughts before.  In fact, when I was a child and I came out of my own abusive past, it was a driving force in me, to right wrongs and stand tall for those who were weaker.

When I had my own children I knew my ultimate purpose was their security and well being until they were grown and able to fend for themselves.

But so many children in the world... their parents apparently don't accept that purpose in their lives.

In some cases the children are unwanted.  Government laws and regulations stand in the way of sloughing off the unwanted child easily to those who do want them.  As I noted last week, the UN is trying to outlaw drop off locations for unwanted babies.  Without large sums of money changing hands it is nearly impossible to adopt a child regardless of their need.  People do not seem to realize that the 'slave trade' is alive and well.  It is now called adoption, a horrible perversion and twisting of the 'spirit of adoption' that is shown by the word.  We now have to BUY the child.  Most adoptions cost $15-45 THOUSAND.  Sounds like a lucrative business for someone.  (This does not in any way denigrate those families who HAVE adopted and are considering it.  I do not blame the buyer for the flawed system.)  It should be CLEAR that a family may not have that kind of money but can still provide a loving and safe home for a child, and a sense of belonging that an orphanage or the streets cannot.

In other cases the children are wanted, but for twisted and nefarious reasons.  Their parents do not see them as the gifts they are, but tools to be used for their own purposes and desires.  While the governmental system has the Department of Social Services, DCFS, CPS, etc, to handle these types of child abuse cases, they invariably fail.

These are the type of child abuse cases that are completely unknown to those outside of the home.  They are never reported, never investigated, and only found out after the tragedy has grown too large to conceal.  As in the case of the woman kept in the basement of her home since childhood until she was a grown adult and finally escaped to tell of her story.

We also know that some families get drug through the system for things that do not qualify in any way as child abuse.  The public as a whole condones this "for the children" not realizing that the process is completely destructive to even stable family environments.  They may come to 'investigate' your case and find it unfounded and that no child abuse occurred.  You have been vindicated!  But wait.... in their wake they leave a child who is afraid they will be taken at any moment from their home and parents, parents whose marriage has been severely tested in the fear and struggle to keep the child, family and friends outside of the home now wondering if you are indeed a savage, heartless child abuser, employers who are not sure they want you working for them anymore, landlords who are unsure if they want you living in their rental anymore, and on and on.  Months and even years can be spent with your life in utter disarray as you try to clear your name and keep your family intact.

These poor, defenseless children!

And in my heart.... I want to help.  I want to be the knight in shining armor.  I want to save the day.

And THAT is where I realize that I am in error.

I.

Who can heal a broken heart?

Who can mend a shattered soul?

Who can shine a piercing, accurate, and true light into the murky, horrid darkness?

Who can bring an oak tree out of a tiny dry seed?

Not I.

In my haste, I overlooked the truth that I AM NOT THE SAVIOUR.

That isn't to say I can't do anything to help, or that I do not have a part to play.  But it was a reminder to me.... and maybe to you, that we need to seek HIS will to bring about true healing and peace to any situation.

I pray that YHWH protects the little children and wraps their little hearts in His almighty hands.  And I pray that if someone needs....  me ....

That HE bring us together in His perfect timing.

My Thoughts on Weekly Bible Reading ~ Ephesians 6

I shared most of many of my thoughts on Spiritual Warfare, the Armor of God, and Prayer based on Ephesians 6 in the post....
La Soñador ~: Engaging In The Act of WAR
Ephesians 6:10-18 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and ...

I often enjoy the artwork depicting this portion of scripture as well.  Powerful, inspiring, and encouraging us to strength of will and fortitude.

I also do not think it is chance that this chapter OPENS with exhortation to children and parents, followed by master/bondservant, aka employer/employee.  Our daily lives are FULL of trouble, no matter where you are.

God warned us what would cause us harm (sin) and when we or anyone around us partake in sin, people suffer.  What we seem to have forgotten, !!!YES WE HAVE ALL FORGOTTEN!!! is that our fellow men are not our enemy.

SIN is our enemy.  Death is our enemy.  And Satan is the Enemy of our souls. (1 Corinthians 15:26Psalm 109:6, Matthew 13:39, Psalm 7:5, Psalm 143:3)

He delights in our suffering.  And he is the father of lies.  He will spread

Confusion
Fear
Anger
Hatred
Pain
Worry
Disease
Strife

Everywhere he can.....

Sound familiar?  Doesn't it sound like just about every page in the news these days?  Doesn't it sound like everyone's daily struggles in their lives?

The answer isn't found in alcohol, anti depressants, meditation, or even 'manning up'.

Psalm 6:8-10 tells us,
"Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity;
For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.
The LORD has heard my supplication;
The LORD will receive my prayer.
Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled;
Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly."

Only one can save.

Just as in the flood of Noah, we too must go into the ARK OF SALVATION, Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, Jesus the Messiah.

We too must cleave to our Beloved and be GRAFTED IN.  We too must be sealed in.  We too need our names written in the Book of Life.

And as long as we are in this fallen world, we must pray for YHWH to protect us and our families EVERY DAY!

Philippians 4:6-7 also tells us, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

And Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Isaiah 56:6-7

“Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to YHWH, to serve Him,
And to love the name of YHWH, to be His servants-
Everyone who keeps from defiling the SABBATH,
And holds fast My covenant -
Even them I will bring to My holy mountain,
And make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
Will be accepted on My altar;
For My house shall be called
A house of prayer for all nations.”

Quote du Jour - Clay McLean

When men have lost All reason and evil seems to win,
Then compromise is treason and silence is a sin.
Let all who hate the darkness prepare to stand and fight
The children of the morning must stand against the night.
When all that Wisdom treasures is treated with disgrace
And idols of damnation are set up in their place
When every Holy Symbol is fading out of sight,
The children of the morning must stand against the night.
We'll do the work of Heaven against a setting sun
Until the final darkness when no work can be done.
Then watching for the Bridegroom with oil lamps burning bright,
We will worship in the darkness and stand against the night,
Against the final darkness no human strength can stand,
The evil will be shattered but not by human hand.
The Maker of the Morning will come in Holy Light
That burns in righteous anger and wrath against the night.
Then comes the final morning when All will be restored.
The shadowlands transformed by The Glory of The LORD.
When every darkened memory is washed in healing Light
Where there will be no warfare for there will be no night.

Quote du Jour - C. S. Lewis

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Praying Before Or After Our Meals?

I recently came across a power point presentation that discussed some of the laws of the bible and which groups adhered to which laws.  The presenter claimed that some laws were followed by NO ONE.  Looking more closely at these particular laws, I was surprised to find laws that I had never heard of, that were supposedly from scripture.  I will share my investigations as they progress.

One particular law that the presenter said NO ONE observed was praying thanks for our food AFTER our meals.

Like many of my adventures in Torah, this felt like an awakening shock.  If this was truly what the scriptures called for it raises so many questions!  Even as I step out on this journey for Truth I THRILL at the adventure of it.

What would this say about the character of YHWH?
What would this say about how He wants our hearts to approach Him?
WHY would this law be tossed aside and replaced by an opposing tradition?

So first, we search to find if this is indeed scriptural.

Searching for the words EAT and THANK I find.....

"When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which he has given you."  Deuteronomy 8:10

So, we now know that it is in the Torah.  And though it is in not in the book of Leviticus, it is just as valid a law as say, Deuteronomy 6:7 about teaching our children "when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up."

What would this say about the character of YHWH?
Specifically it says that YHWH has given us the good land.  He has provided our food.  He has provided our space.  He has provided us the day.  He has provided each bite, and each breath.  YHWH provides - YHWH Jireh.  This particular attribute of YHWH is called upon by Abraham (Genesis 22:8) when he is called to sacrifice his son Isaac.  He said YHWH would provide the sacrifice (prophetic *wow*).  And as Abraham lifted the knife, the Angel of the Lord (Yeshua) stopped Abraham from the fatal blow and pointed out the ram for him to sacrifice instead.  YHWH Jireh.... beautiful.

What would this say about how He wants our hearts to approach Him?
Amazingly.... this is telling us to thank, praise and bless YHWH from a position of SATISFACTION!  This really astounds me.  It is so different from my understanding and this is where the shock comes for me.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
I have always thought that I must pray always and give thanks from my position of NEED.
Now I am not saying that YHWH is promising us an everflowing cup of abundance every step we take in this sin stained and fallen world.
But it directly pertains to our HEART.
As Exodus 20:17 says in the Ten Commandments, “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
Your heart should not be coveting what you do not have.  But you should be content and satisfied with what IS provided for you.
In Philippians 4:11 Paul tells us, "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."
So YHWH is telling us to ENJOY what He provides.  But afterwards, when we are satisfied, REMEMBER who provided it for us.  How often we pray in need?  And how often we neglect Him when we are satisfied?

WHY would this law be tossed aside and replaced by an opposing tradition?
Unfortunately... as I consider why it has become tradition to pray our thanks BEFORE eating.... I can think of only ONE reason.
Remember that the Pharisees sought to appear MORE HOLY than all others, and called upon the people to adhere to strict and hard to keep 'laws' that were NOT in the Torah.  They were notorious for reading the Torah in the synagogue, and THEN teaching the people their traditions and rules on top of it as if they were YHWH's Laws, known as the Talmud. (Matthew 15:7Matthew 16:6, Matthew 23:5, Mark 7:6, Luke 11:42)
I'm sure they thought, "If the word calls on you to pray after you eat.... doesn't it make you even MORE HOLY to pray before you eat?"  This effort to 'one up' God every chance we get doesn't earn us points!

Obviously now, the vast majority of people have NO IDEA that the Word tells us to pray after we eat.  And I know the scriptures say Yeshua also gave thanks before eating.

But try to remember YHWH after you have had your fill also.  He deserves it and so much more.

Peace and Safety!

"They are trying to convince us that their most pressing mandate is to provide the American citizens with the greatest measure of safety possible.  Forget the freedoms mandated by our founding fathers and entrusted to us in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights - SAFETY is the guiding principle of our new Keepers."  Enola Gay of Paratus Familia

As I read this I suddenly recalled that people would be crying "Safety, safety!!" before the end.  I thought they would be saying "We have peace and safety!".  But perhaps that is not the case.  Perhaps the people will all be yammering "We want peace and safety!"

For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. - 1 Thessalonians 5:3

People forget so easily that the next breath isn't guaranteed.

And only ONE can save.

Awe and Shalom

One morning, a short time ago, I had a dream that I believe was from YHWH. It left me with a feeling of awe and SHALOM. Strong's Concordance defines Shalom (7965) as completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.

I have studied the main images in my dream from the Word. I included the verses that I felt pertained to my dream's context. It was a fascinating study for me and led me into scriptures that I did not recall reading before. I put an asterisk next to some of the scriptures that I felt were particularly relevant, but unfortunately I was not consistent doing this. I will go back through and add them later.

Below, I include some of my thoughts and conclusions after reading these scriptures. I welcome other ideas and interpretations as well!

I am so sorry that I am unable to explain the richness of color that struck my eyes at every turn. EVERYTHING was vivid and multicolored and utterly breathtaking.

In the waning sunlight (psalm 113:3, isaiah 45:6, psalm 50:1, malachi 1:11, psalm 104:19, matthew 8:11). I stepped out of my home and was walking around between the various gardening areas. There seemed to be many other people there (joel 2:16, numbers 21:16, isaiah 11:12, ezekiel 28:25, psalm 50:5, isaiah 66:18, joel 3:2, luke 6:44), but I did not converse with them. They were all out and wandering in the gardens also.

The first thing that struck my eyes was that all the trees (leviticus 23:40, 1 kings 6:32, deuteronomy 8:8, revelation 7:3, genesis 1:11, leviticus 19:23, nehemiah 9:25, psalm 148:9, ecclesiastes 2:5, song 6:11) were in full bloom (song 2:15, isaiah 35:2, song 6:11, 1 corinthians 7:36, song 2:13, joel 2:22, isaiah 35:1, 1 kings 6).

The orchard trees had grown and were covered in leaves and huge sweet smelling (song 5:13, ephesians 5:2, philipians 4:18, exodus 30:7, exodus 39:38, exodus 40:27, isaiah 43:24) blooms. There bases were surrounded by flower beds that were bursting (mark 13:28, proverbs 3:10, matthew 24:32, isaiah 54:3). And as I neared I saw that every bloom had a bee (1 samuel 14:25, isaiah 7:18)

A wasp (exodus 23:28, deut 7:20, joshua 24:12, revelation 9:5, proverbs 23:32) came from somewhere and began to circle me. I attempted to back up but it just circled more tightly. I began to run and then I flew away (zech 2:6, song 2:17, matt 24:16, luke 21:21, matthew 10:23, exodus 21:13) leaving the wasp behind.

Every tree I passed was so green (luke 23:31, genesis 9:3, psalm 23:2, proverbs 11:28, psalm 92:14, joel 2:22, psalm 105:35, revelation 9:4). And as I flew overhead I saw each tree had hundreds of birds (isaiah 18:6, matt 8:20, psalm 104:17, isaiah 31:5, . Each tree a different family of bird, hummingbirds, swallows, sparrows, finches (psalm 84:3, matt 10:29). Their colors shone (matt 6:29) in the setting sunlight.

Then I flew up, higher into the sky watching the last light of the setting sun. The clouds (1 thes 4:17, ecc 12:2, rev 1:7, mark 13:26, job 22:14, dan 7:13, psalm 147:8) changed their shape and looked like many doves (song 2:14, john 1:32, psalm 55:6*, song 6:9, psalm 68:13, jere 48:28, hosea 11:11) pushing me with their wings (zech 5:9, eze 1:11, eze 10:21, exo 25:20).

The sun set and darkness (1 john 2:11, matt 6:23, john 1:5, isaiah 8:22, job 10:22, isaiah 60:2, psalm 139:12, job 23:17, exodus 10:21, jeremiah 13:6, isaiah 9:2, joel 2:2) filled the earth.

I began to fall to earth and landed in my gardens that no longer had any plantlife (jeremiah 12:11, ezekiel 30:7, ezekiel 36:34, ezekiel 33:28, ezekiel 29:12, matt 23:38, micah 7:13, job 38:27, revelation 12:6, isaiah 35:6) but were covered in thick, clean, white snow (matt 28:3, revelation 1:14, lament 4:7, job 37:6, job 38:22, isaiah 55:10, psalm 147:16, psalm 51:7). As far as I could see were fields of snow. But I was not cold.

The earth began to shake (haggai 2, isaiah 52:2, hebrews 12:26, isaiah 13:13, amos 9:1, nehemiah 5:13, matt 27:15, revelation 16:18, 2 sam 22:8, psalm 18:7, psalm 75:3, joel 2:10, nahum 1:5) and a wind (song 4:16, ecc 1:6, exodus 10:13, hosea 13:15, exodus 10:19, eph 4:14, isaiah 41:16) filled the air.

Suddenly furrows (psalm 65:10, job 39:10) and trenches (1 kings 18:32, 1 kings 3:16) appeared covering the landscape, still laden with snow. I heard awed whispers, "What is happening?" "What is happening?"

I laughed and looked with awe (luke 5:26, matt 9:8, hebrews 12:28, 1 chron 16:25).

"YHWH (exo 3:14, joel 2:27, john 9:5) is planting the fields." (john 4:36, 1 cor 3:7, 1 cor 3:9, gen 21:33, gen 26:12, ex 15:17, lev 26:5, deut 6:11, josh 24:13, 2 sam 7:10, 1 chron 17:9, psalm 44:2, psalm 104:16, ecc 2:5, ecc 3:2, isaiah 60:21*, isaiah 61:3*, isaiah 65:22, jere 11:17, jere 18:9, jere 29:5, jere 32:41, eze 17:5, eze 17:7, eze 28:26, eze 34:29)

As we watched, the sun rose and though the snow remained, every hole burst out with pumpkins (jonah 4:6), potatoes (romans 11:18, ), and loaves of bread (matt 4:3, matt 14:17, matt 15:33, john 6:26, hebrews 9:2, lev 23:17, judges 8:5, 1 sam 10:4, 2 kings 4:42, 1 sam 25:18, 1 kings 14:3).

Trees popped up along the landscape hanging heavily with oranges (song 2:3, song 8:5). (health attributes of orange and yellow foods = good vision, these are fall colors)

"YHWH is feeding his people." (zech 11:4, isaiah 61:6, jere 9:15, jere 23:2, 1 peter 5:2, acts 20:28, reve 12:6*, eze 34:15, 1 chron 11:2, reve 7:17*)

Though I did not turn side to side to see the others with me, I could see all of our hands reaching out (jere 4:31*, god reaching out to us) and grabbing handfuls (psalm 72:16, ecc 4:6, offerings measured in handfuls) of the food that had grown. It was so abundant that the furrows remained overflowing as we devoured the food.

Someone handed me an orange (gen 1:11, lev 19:23, neh 9:25, psalm 148:9, ecc 2:5) and the juice dripped all over my hands and face. It was so flavorful and each had 20 or 30 seeds (matt 6:26, matthew 13:4, matthew 13:25, mark 4:31, john 12:24, 2 cor 9:6, isaiah 61:11, seeds) . And I knew that each seed was fertile (isaiah 55:10, luke 8:8, gen 48:4, mark 4:8, matt 13:8).

Then I woke up.

----

After my prayer and study of the Word, I feel that this dream is about The Day of the Lord.  I feel that YHWH gave me this dream and that the imagery in it symbolizes His providence for His people.

It led me to read areas of scripture, which I did not recall prior to this study.

Joel chapter 2 seemed very prominent.  Reading this book again after this study I was surprised about this apparently neglected clear description of end times and the promises for His people.

Next in prominence as I did this word study were scriptures in the Song of Songs.  I had read this book on many occasions, but for myself NEVER saw it's prophetic characteristics.  I saw.... a love song.  I see now that this book is discussing YHWH's relationship with His bride.

I believe this dream shows us that those who are sealed and in the book of Life will be provided for.  The scriptures (that I read during this study) indicate that the trees will flourish and grow until the last day and the flowers will bloom.  We will have beauty and hope and we will have food.

I believe this dream also indicates, by the position of the sun that the hours of daylight are waning and the sun will soon be setting.  As we get closer, the enemy will be after us.  He will pursue us.  But just when it seems that we cannot possibly escape, we will be taken away for a time, and THAT is when utter darkness will fall.

We will be returned to the earth immediately after ALL THINGS are made clean and white as snow.  And then YHWH Himself will give us our "food".  We already know that the Word is our 'daily bread', 'sweet as honey', and 'man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of YHWH'.  He will feed His people.

I also believe the foods in my dream were of particular importance.  They are all orange, yellow and brown.  Orange foods are scientifically proven to provide essential nutrients for 'good vision'.  I think this implies that our 'food' from YHWH will remove any blindness and confusion from our eyes.

I also notice that these colors are clearly 'Autumn Colors'.  I believe that this coincides with our Messiah returning during the Autumn time of the year, at the Biblical Feast of YHWH - Yom Teruah, aka The Feast of Trumpets.  Just as this Feast prophesies the coming of the King, it begins the 'Days of Awe', and leads to Yom Kippur, the day that the Book of Life is closed and our futures sealed by the Ruach Ha Kodesh, The Holy Spirit.

After the reading of the Book of Life, and separation of the wheat and the tares (which look exactly alike before harvest time) there will be the GREAT wedding feast and celebration, Sukkot, aka The Festival of Booths.

The last image in my dream was of the orange.  Overflowing with sweet tasting, satisfying juice and a MULTITUDE of fertile seeds, I believe this shows that in the coming Kingdom we will want for nothing.  We will have a rich life.  It will be fertile with joy and satisfaction.  And as every seed promises.... a future.

Joel 2:28:32

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh;
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
your young men shall see visions:
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before the great and terrible day of YHVH come.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YHVH shall be delivered:
for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance,
as YHVH hath said, and in the remnant whom YHVH shall call.

Joel 2:28-32

Quote du Jour - Elizabeth TylerDawn Rosenquist

If we were really preaching the gospel as Yeshua did, we would not sound like a broken record, but instead like an exquisite song worth listening to. Stop forcing the spiritually deaf to listen, but pray that they would hear! And then sing, and watch the people with ears gather! People aren't necessarily avoiding your song because they are deaf -- but perhaps because no one can bear the sound of clanging symbols for very long!

Quote du Jour - C. S. Lewis

If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.

Pursuing Our First Love

I have realized something.

YHWH wants to be pursued.

Subconsciously I knew this already.  I have prayed over my children that they have hearts that 'pursue after god all the days of their lives'.

YHWH wants to be LOVED...

Pursued like a first love....

Adored....

Desired....

Over the centuries, people have lied in the 'name of God', destroyed, robbed, pillaged, and murdered.  Wars have raged for 'his glory'.  People across the ages have suffered.

The Way, The Truth and the Life, our saviour, the lover of our souls has been and still is trampled by 'religion'.

Some are remembering that He wants relationship.  Some are recalling that He wants our hearts.

We love because he first loved us. - 1 John 4:19

He wants us to seek Him out, calling out to Him, yearn for Him, and search until He allows Himself to be found.  At the same time He also pursues us, calls us, woos His love back.  He wants to be our FIRST LOVE.  (Revelations 2:4)

Consider the basic story line of the Song of Songs, http://biblehub.com/songs/*.  She rejects him, desires him, rejects him, desires him and pursues him.  It ends with her promise to remain faithful only to him, forever.

And consider the story line of Hosea, http://biblehub.com/hosea/.  He was told to marry a harlot, told that she would leave him and pursue other lovers again and again.  And she did.  YHWH then told him to rise up!  PURSUE her!  WOO her!  Take her back and LOVE her.

Sometimes our 'walk' with YHWH is easy and well lit.

Sometimes... it isn't.  Sometimes it is an obstacle course with lots of thorny weeds.  Sure, those weeds are false teaching and sin, on our parts and those around us.... but it doesn't make them any less thorny.

But just like in marriage with our spouses, relationship with our friends....

If it matters to you, you will STICK WITH IT.  You will PURSUE.  You will reach out.  And in this case, because of our fallen natures, we will bend to HIS will to gain His pure and perfect grace. (Psalm 19:5, Philippians 2:16, 1 Corinthians 9:24, Psalm 119:32, Philippians 3:12)

"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3

For those who continue the RACE, pursuing Him and His truth with perseverance, You will have the rejoicing hope of the Kingdom of YHWH.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7

*NOTE: clicking on the chapter links on the right of the book description will allow you read that chapter.  I used to include links from BibleGateway.  But recently their words searches have not been working properly and this week when I search by the actual scripture it returns a poorly formatted page with no links for viewing previous, contextual, subsequent verses and such.  Any suggestions for an online bible search site??

The Best Chocolate I Ever Had ~ Homemade

This chocolate was EASY to make.  So easy that I actually made a batch every couple of days when I had a good stock of coconut oil on hand.  It was also EXTREMELY delicious.

1 part coconut oil
1 part cocoa powder
1 part sugar (brown was my fave)
optional coconut flakes, chopped nuts, chopped dried fruits, etc

Usually I did not warm the coconut oil, but worked the cocoa powder and sugar in with a fork.  The coconut oil is pretty soft at room temperature during this time of the year, and mixed easily.  When well mixed, I then added extras, usually coconut flakes.
I then spread it out on wax paper in a dish and place it in the fridge to firm back up for a couple of minutes.

That's it!  Seriously!  5- 10 minutes and you have HOMEMADE yummy chocolate. <3

Once, I heated the coconut oil and then mixed the ingredients.  In this batch the sugar all sunk to the bottom and did not remain well mixed.  It was still yum though! LOL.  This batch did result in a much SMOOTHER and GLOSSY chocolate though.  So If you were willing to work with it more and wanted a beautiful presentation, such as for gifts, this would be a good method to try.

You can also add less sugar to get a semi sweet chocolate.

My Thoughts On Weekly Bible Reading ~ Genesis 12, 20 ~ Abraham Lies

This is one of the UNPOPULAR bible stories. :)  But, I think that it reveals ALOT about YHWH and His relationship with those whom He has chosen for covenant relationship.

First.....

Abraham was not told to go to Egypt.  There is a famine, yes.  But Abraham takes it upon himself to go to a nation of false gods, a deity for everything under the sun, and the sun too.

And Abraham knows there will be trouble.  He warns Sarah, "There might be trouble."  He knows his wife is beautiful and that there may be men who want her and will even be willing to kill for her.

Now I have read some scathing words regarding this whole situation.  They accuse Abraham of being a cowardly pimp, and Sarah his whore that he gladly sends out to have relationships with others and takes their money when he shames them with the truth that she belongs to him.  Sadly, I have written this 'theory' down in much nicer verbiage than they used.

BUT I don't think that is what is going on here.

Perhaps you have seen some old westerns?  Think.... Clint Eastwood in The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Pretty?

No.

But... accurate for times and places where there is no real moral authority with the will and power to protect the masses.

Consider....

Right now, if you have something that others would want, such as a nice truck, copper wire, a horse, or a beautiful daughter, how do you protect them?  Many would call the police when trouble occurred.  Perhaps they would arrive in time to salvage the property or precious life.  Perhaps not.  Perhaps you have weaponry and skill.  And perhaps, if there aren't too many opponents, and luck/favor is yours on that day you will survive and keep what is yours.

But what if there are no police?  And what if there were more opponents than you could handle?  What if they were just as armed and skilled as you, and outnumbered you a hundred to one?

Abraham was going INTO Egypt.  He would be surrounded by 'opponents'.

He probably thought that if they played their parts well, that anyone who desired Sarah would go through the act of courtship and betrothal before accosting her.  Or he was unsure what to do and thought this would buy him time.  He probably assumed that they would be able to get the food and goods they needed and then leave.

Do I think he did the 'right thing'?  No.

But I think he probably didn't know what to do.

And that is precisely what happens when we don't look to YHWH for direction.  We do stupid things.

Sometimes YHWH can and will still protect us in our stupidity.  He certainly protected Abraham and Sarah.  Although she was taken first into the home of Pharoah and then Abimelech, she was not sexually assaulted.  And when they became aware that Sarah was in fact Abraham's wife, she was returned to him, in addition to gifts as they apologized for their taking her without leave.  Abraham was not only protected, but given favor in the eyes of these men in the midst of this.  By their gracious and apologetic attitudes, the plagues and troubles that YHWH placed over their house were lifted.

Unfortunately, though it was not directly discussed in scripture, it was during this jaunt to Egypt, outside of the will of YHWH, that Sarah gained a handmaiden... Hagar.  We know that later, once again showing a mistrust of the FULLNESS and AWESOMENESS of YHWH, that Sarah offered Hagar to Abraham in the hopes of gaining a child through her, which led to trouble.

As Psalm 118:8 says, "It is better to trust in YHWH Than to put confidence in man."

When you step out on your own without your head (Y'shua being our head, ie The Angel of the Lord) then you are bound to make mistakes.

We should all pray for YHWH's protection and mercy in our stupidity.  And we should all cleave harder to His will to avoid mistakes which make us and YHWH the point of ridicule for those around us.

Oh God I Love Them

Yesterday grandma took the kids and I to a thrift store in our local town.  Everyone smiled and laughed at the children and their little voices and all their funny questions.

I hear all the time, "Wow, you have your hands full."

I usually smile and say, "I LOVE IT!"

One particular elderly woman was sitting on her walker behind us in line.  She saw my baby in the wrap and asked how old he was.  I told her and moved so she could see him more clearly.

But she looked away.

She said, "I have 20 great grandchildren now."

I smiled, but she did not.

She continued, "And they're still not done!"  (I gathered not all 20 were in one household LOL)

I told her, "I don't think I'm done either."

She had not ascertained that the other children were all mine.  So I pointed out my other children.

She looked shocked.  "Why would you want more?"

I asked her, "How old is your oldest child?"

"63."

I moved closer to her so she could see my little babes face.

"I bet you remember when he was a tiny pudgy baby, holding him up and burying your face in his soft cheeks because you couldn't help yourself from kissing him."

And finally....
She smiled.

A distant, day dreaming smile.

"Oh yes.... I do remember.  God, I loved them."

Psalm 51

Psalm 51

Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

Holy, Holy, Holy is YHWH of Hosts!

Kadosh, kadosh, kadosh YHWH tsevaowt

קדוש קדוש קדוש יהוה צבאות

Holy, holy, holy is YHWH of hosts

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is YHWH of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”
Isaiah 6
